Duplicate Detection
Contractors are considered duplicates if they match by:
- Same slug (URL-friendly name)
- Same license number + state
- Same company name + state
City Name Normalization
City names are automatically cleaned:
- Removes state suffixes (", ID", ", Idaho")
- Standardizes apostrophes and spacing
- Applies title case formatting
- Fixes common variations (e.g., "Coeur D Alene" → "Coeur D'Alene")
Required Fields
CompanyName, State, and City are required. All other fields are optional.
